Hot or Cold then????
As a recap, ALL DESERTS ARE DRY when it comes to defining it with the amount of precipitation, even deserts like the Antarctica. BUT NOT ALL DESERTS ARE HOT.
Deserts in the world can be classified into two main categories, HOT deserts and COLD deserts. It DOES NOT mean that HOT DESERTS ARE ALWAYS HOT AND COLD DESERTS ARE ALWAYS COLD. Hot deserts are the deserts that has a HIGH daytime temperature THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, but rather cold at night. The maximum daytime temperature is above 40 degrees celsius , but at night, the temperature can drop to below 10 degrees celsius , even below freezing point at times. HOT DESERTS also only have less than 10 inches of rain per year. On the other hand, cold deserts are HOT IN SUMMERS, BUT EXTREMELY COLD IN WINTERS.
